We were on the second floor and the elevator was broke down. There was no indication prior to booking that it was under construction. I brought four smaller children who I had to do multiple trips up and down the stairs with and carry heavy luggage. There were big rips in the comforter. The floor in the room turned my white socks black. There were six of us in a room and they only had one towel and one wash cloth. The hallway floor and stairs look like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months. There was food on the couch and chair in our room. Housekeeping came in once out of the 3 nights and took the towels we went and got from the front desk and our wash cloth and only left one towel again. Staff were nice and respectful and the breakfast was well stocked. Hotel is in a pretty decent location.

When we got there, the staff was nice and checked us in quickly. However, as we got into our room there was a string smell of paint. Then there was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and looked as if the ceiling fell apart. Then around the ac area was mold and moisture. I went to the front desk and asked if we could be moved to another room due to the smell. At first they stated no but then moved us to the second floor. When we got there, the room was a bit better. However, could hang our towels due to the towel rack being broken and barely on the wall. Then I couldn’t use two outlets, due to the mirror blocking it or it just didn’t work. The phone in the room didn’t even have numbers on it. When we turned the lights on it would flicker for about 1-2 minutes then it would stay on. Bathroom door didn’t either close or lock. Which we found very comical. When we went to eat breakfast, it was much smaller than the pictures showed and there was no room. But yet you couldn’t take the food to your room, per the signs placed around. You couldn’t tell who was staff or customer due to the way they were dressed. Either they were in workout clothes or jeans and crop top. Very over priced for the condition of the hotel, pictures definitely do not match what it actually is.

I usually don’t leave reviews, but this experience needs to be shared. My stay at Comfort Inn & Suites in Padre Island was extremely disappointing. The room we were first given was absolutely filthy—bathroom not cleaned, stains and dirt all over the walls, and it looked like it hadn’t been properly maintained at all. There were even exposed electrical chutes with wires hanging, which felt unsafe. Because of how bad the room was, we had to be moved to a different one. While the second room was slightly better, it still did not meet basic cleanliness standards and looked nothing like the photos advertised online. What made things worse was the customer service. A supervisor acknowledged how unacceptable the original room was and promised us a discount for the inconvenience. However, when it came time to follow through, no discount was given. Due to how horrible the accommodations were overall, we ended up leaving a day early because we simply did not feel comfortable staying there any longer. This experience was frustrating from start to finish. The lack of cleanliness, safety concerns, and failure to honor what was promised is unacceptable. I even took video footage to document everything. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting a clean and honest stay.

The room was very nice and super clean. I had to go downstairs to grab towels and batteries for the tv remote control. The staff were accommodating and friendly. Breakfast had a good variety. Air conditioning worked great. Carpets in hallways looked a bit aged and lots of ceiling watermark damages on the 2nd floor. For a weekend stay, the price and service was nice.

The inside of the hotel was surprisingly clean and well lit. Rooms were pretty up to date ! It’s not a bad hotel ! I think the outside could use a bit of work but overall the hotel is still a good solid choice ! The property is located in the middle of the everything though not directly to beach access you could simply cross the street over 2 streets down to it !

I recently stayed at Comfort Inn in South Padre Island with my family, and unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations. The photos online are quite misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. Upon entering, there was an unpleasant odor, and the floors appeared dirty. Check-in was quick, which I appreciated, but once we got to the room, it was clear the property is quite outdated. We stayed in a two queen bed room, which felt very small. The bathroom was extremely tight, with only the bare essentials. Many items—including the bathroom, sink, and microwave—looked old and worn. Cleanliness was a major concern. The pillows had a noticeable smell, like unclean hair, which was very off-putting. The blankets had multiple visible stains on both beds. There was also a sofa in the room that smelled old and dirty. Breakfast was another disappointment—very limited flavor and not enough seating, making it crowded and uncomfortable. Overall, I was not satisfied with my stay. This experience taught me to be more selective when choosing hotels in the future.

I usually don’t give such poor reviews. I was disappointed I will say from check in to breakfast in hotel. The cereal was stale, the check in was unfriendly, and the elevator was not functioning. I’m glad we only booked for 1 night. Management please change this service.

It was okay, average everything, just sometimes have issues with the card and other's are when breakfast and there is no space to eat, other than that it's a good stay. For what it is and what you need it's good, so solid 8/10.
