"My stay at the Chicago Lake Shore Hotel was good! The outside of the facility looks to be in rough shape but once you step inside the rooms they are updated and very clean!!! I would stay here again for the price. Of they could update/renovate the outside this place would be 10/10!!!"

"The front office manager was very helpful with a problem that arose back home during my travel. There is ample free parking in an accessible area with several food places within walking distance. My only issue is that the room could have been cleaner and smelled of cigarette smoke. Due to my allergies I cut my stay short - I couldn’t handle the smell anymore. It seems to be a recurring theme with sites booked through Hotels.com that they are not as clean as travelers expect. It doesn’t cost anymore to clean a room in a budget hotel than in a five-star. Perhaps investing in some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers would help!"

"Good Location with plenty of walkable places. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby which is always a plus. No microwave in the room but the mini fridge worked wonderfully. Lots of options on the TV as well. Staff was very nice and welcoming. Overall a very nice experience. Very good option for anyone looking for a more affordable option. Would definitely recommend."
