"An excellent stay. The Pembroke Hotel is a lovely hotel offering very good value for money. Fantastic, central location. The vast majority of the staff are excellent, if I was being picky I think the bar staff could either do with a more experienced manager, or more training. We intended to have dinner in the restaurant last night and despite being given menus, the staff didn’t think to tell us that the kitchen closed at 8pm - we missed dinner which was disappointing! We were sat there having a glass of wine, intending to order when we were ready. The rooms are big, well equipped and very comfortable. I would like to have had an extra aid to get out of the shower which is over a bath. I had to hold on to the towel rail for safety - I don’t think it is intended for that purpose. We would definitely return to The Pembroke."

"My wife and I were only there for one night but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room overlooked the river and the historic side of the city. Beautiful! The room was also very large and has a very contemporary design. The breakfast was very complete, fresh fruit, your choice of eggs, a variety of juices. Really all you could ask for. The hotel staff was very helpful. The best part of the hotel is it's location in the city. Walking distance to St. John's Castle, St. Mary's Cathedral and world class shopping. "

"The location was amazing for site seeing and close to lots of shops/restaurants and pubs. The bar on site had live music and friendly staff. The bus depo is right across the street and we took it daily to visit other little towns. The room we had was quite small but very clean. There is no fridge but that seems the norm in Ireland. The bed was comfortable BUT the pillows were so thin and hard. Overall a very nice stay "
