"Multiple red flags. I will list them below. I never intend to stay at this location again, and if you want to enjoy your stay in the Destin area look elsewhere.
- Card on file was charged with another fraud charge, had to dispute with bank
- Used Q-tip found in the hotel room (we didn’t pack or buy them on this trip)
- Phone in room did not work (205)
- Microwave turned off after one use (After a few minutes it would reset and you could use it for another minute, until the inevitable)
- Requested a late check out with the front desk that was not honored and housekeeping walked into the room (Red haired, casual dressed front desk person)
- A/C (window operating unit) only blew for a while and struggled to get cooler than 74 degrees.
- Shampoo & Body Wash were both empty in the shower. (Thankfully, we packed our own)
- Front desk overnight attendant had an unpleasant attitude at check in.
There were only a few bright spots and I rarely try to right reviews only highlight the negatives but I just have never experienced anything of this magnitude at an IHG property in my life. With that being said I’d like to thank the afternoon front desk attendant that provided us plates in the evening (Black haired taller woman with braces) and the breakfast attendant who had a great attitude. If these two staff members were not here I would have given this stay half a star."
