Loved the Dorp’s quirkiness and overall atmosphere. The rooms and bed very comfortable and well equipped. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely stay again.

When you travel a lot, sometimes your experiences tend to get lost in the fog of it all.... This trip was different for us - and it was entirely the fault of Yves and Valerie! While this was our fourth trip to Cape Town, it was the first time we felt like we were coming home. Carmichael is much better than just a guesthouse - it is a local home away from home. The facilities, the rooms and the breakfasts were of course outstanding. But rarely do you find such a warm and welcoming environment....

Me and my wife stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even left rose petals and sparkling wine in the room for us. The hotel has a very classic and stylish feel and contrary to other reviews which state noise being a problem we had no issues at all.

A fabulous small boutique hotel 20 mins from city centre. Wonderful, knowledgeable and friendly staff. A fantastic restaurant with stunning tasting menu experience and wine list. We can highly recommend as an alternative to the city centre option

Arrived earlier than the official check in time to be met by the friendliest hotel reception we have ever experienced! The reception area itself was stunning, great views over the beach and a relaxing bar to watch the sunsets. Everywhere was spotless, very modern and comfortable. Our room (202) was great, with views of the mountains from one side of the balcony and the beach on the other. Amazing place to stay. The neighbourhood was safe and restaurants within walking distance. The pool was a lot of fun.

Tracey & Mark were lovely, very attentive. Boho suite was smaller than expected felt a bit closed in due to lack of views/light from windows. The other rooms were beautiful though. They had lovely linen and wines for sale also. Nice location in Tokai. Would go again.

This was an amazing place to stay during our time on Cape Town. The main thing that stands out is the staff, they are helpful beyond measure and will go above and beyond, with enthusiasm and personality. They genuinely care about their guests and will do whatever they can to help, including assisting in itineraries and bookings. From the security who helps you in the evening, to the guys that cook and serve you breakfast, to the gardener, to the guys that clean the room and front of house who...

We really enjoyed our stay with Zest, from lovely welcoming staff who greeted us with an ice cold drink when we were sweaty from a long plane ride, to a delicious breakfast, to a very comfortable room. The hotel is eco-conscious too so it's even better to know your stay is doing good by people and planet.

A lovely boutique hotel nestled below Table Mountain. The staff and I mean all the staff are outstanding and made our stay a delight, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended , a peaceful haven away from the hubbub of the Waterfront, but only a short trip on the hotel shuttle car.

A truly magical stay, really brilliant dinner and all drinks included which makes it better value for money. Lovely staff. Only downside is the rooms are tired and the whole pool and bathrooms need maintenance. Also a wider breakfast choice perhaps it is a bit limited. Thanks to Kim for looking after us perfectly.

This was a cut above the average airport hotel, with attention to detail in the rooms and great service.

Very friendly check in at the hotel - gave us a full tour and showed us the key features in the room. Excellent club lounge with drinks and nibbles during happy hour. Comfortable and well maintained.

There is no air-conditioning in either of the bedrooms only in the living room. Having AC in the bedroom would be a great improvement.
