"From the outside, this hotel looked older but appeared to be well-maintained, and it seemed like the staff had put effort into keeping it up. Unfortunately, our room was a different story.
As soon as we entered, the room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke that had been covered up with deodorizer, creating an unpleasant combination of both odors. When we went to put our food in the refrigerator, we found food still inside from a previous guest. That immediately made us question how thoroughly the room had been cleaned.
The room included bunk beds, but they were broken and did not feel safe enough for our daughter to sleep on. We then tried to use the sleeper sofa, but it had numerous stains that made us uncomfortable using it as well.
We asked about moving to another room, but the hotel had no available rooms. As a family of six, we ended up squeezing into two beds for the night. Fortunately, our children are young enough that we could make it work, but had it not been so late when we discovered these issues, we would have left and found another hotel.
The building itself showed promise, but the cleanliness, maintenance, and lack of an alternative room made for a disappointing stay."
