"I recently stayed at the Cambria Hotel and had a very unsettling experience that was never properly addressed.
When I returned to my room in the evening, I noticed that the first-floor stairwell door had been propped open, which immediately raised safety concerns. Even more alarming, my room door was open even though I made absolutely sure it was closed and secure before leaving earlier that afternoon.
Because I didn’t feel safe entering the room alone, we contacted the front desk. The staff member said he would check the security cameras, but did not allow us to view them or provide any transparency about what he saw. That lack of communication felt suspicious and unhelpful given the seriousness of the situation.
He later mentioned that he would issue new keys, but never followed through or came to our room. No meaningful steps were taken to ensure our safety or give us peace of mind.
As a result, I felt extremely uneasy the entire night and was unable to sleep. This situation could have been handled much better, and I’m disappointed that there was no real effort to resolve it or reassure guests.
I would strongly urge the hotel to take security concerns more seriously and improve how situations like this are handled in the future."
