"This was our first hotel experience as a couple, as we normally hire a villa, car and fend for ourselves. However, family tragedies dictated that we needed to escape and be “looked after” in order to de-stress, rest and recharge our batteries after six weeks of heartache. "First off, we had an excellent checkin experience, and great site recommendations. The staff were great. The main issue was that the air conditioning did not work. This was reported to the front desk twice as the temp in the room went from 23C at checkin to 25.5C before dinner. The hotel rep went to the room when we reported the problem and fiddled with the thermostat. Seemed to work briefly when we went to sleep, but we woke up after midnight sweating at 27.5C.
