"Look, for the type of property this place is, I would normally give it 4 stars. It's an older property that has seen better days. It's rather worn and there are some maintenance issues. The owners/staff were decent at times and indifferent at others. I booked this property strictly for the location and for a rate that was under $500 for two nights, since I stayed over July 4th weekend. With that though, that is why I knocked down a star. "A very unique historical hotel. Nice large room and bathroom. We appreciated the parking and vicinity to downtown, shops and restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We forgot an item in our room and they got it sent to us right away. We've already reserved a room for our next visit."
