"The room and hotel itself were very clean. Nice perks: complimentary seltzer water and washcloths. Negatives: no A/C, incorrect data from staff re: bus schedule (two staff agents gave incorrect bus pickup times)."

"Comfortable, convenient hotel with lovely staff."

"Great service, so helpful and accommodating. Room beautifully appointed and bed super comfortable. Great easy location."

"Gorgeous rooms with a great view! Mini kitchen was so wonderful - clean and modern. The self check-in is a great idea, but I can see where some people may find it confusing. Also, watch your head - low ceilings. But overall one of the best stays yet!"

"Nice room and big shower. The breakfast was wonderful!! If you stay three or more nights be sure to get the Appenzell card for big savings!!"

"We loved the locating, breakfast was good."

"Location: Great location as it was within a 5 min walk to old town shops and restaurants. Parking is a little tight but manageable. Room: Had the top floor suite which was spacious and had everything you need for a short or long stay. Fully equiped kitchen and good views over the town. I would stay here again. Also I had good communication with thstaff via WhatsApp."

"This hotel is in the perfect location. Excellent food at the restaurant. Friendly helpful staff. Only downside - no air conditioning. We recommend!"

"Incredible, spacious, and modern hotel. Great for adults and kids. We’ll be back!"

"Wonderful hotel. Very clean and staff were always helpful and polite. Spa was lovely, it would have been nice if it opened earlier in the morning. Wonderful stay, would happily stay again."

"Unique location"

"Beautiful place"

"I really enjoyed stay in this hotel. The price is reasonable and location is convenient (bus is 2 min away: and the train station is about 7-min walk.) Breakfast is very good. The only downsides are that my room is slightly noisy as it faces the street; public transportion is limited on Sunday as it's a small town and it doesn't have elevator. But these are not problems for me and I would stay here again if I come back."

"Everything was at the top level of excellence"

"Perfect!"

"Nice place near train station and with free public transportation for city center."

"It was great"

"Modern minimalist building and rooms. Clean, dark at night and good sound proofing. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety. Walking distance to old town. East access to trains."
