"Totally enjoyed this hotel. Very convenient and clean and secure. Got a room right next to end doors so very easy going and coming. Only issue was the people above us for the first couple nights. A child kept running and jumping around and heavy walking but stopped around midnight so could have been worse."

"Check your room before you put anything down. You might find left over poop on the toilet. You will be complained at if you sit in the lobby and are slightly loud while talking to friends. How dare we interrupt your personal call while you are at work."

"It’s obvious the lack of competition for hotel chains is one of the reasons why this (and other properties) aren’t upgrading or even moderately maintaining their properties. While the staff were very nice, the hotel and rooms felt old, dated, threadbare and in need of renovation. Brown County is stunning … but its hotels leave a lot to be desired."

"This was our first time staying here and it was great overall. The room was clean. Breakfast was good. The kids enjoyed the pool. We did have to wait for towels for about an hour because they ran out of them, but that was really the only problem"

I thought I was reserving Basic King (not a King Suite) and there were 2 price levels for the BK with no explanation in the difference. "I would not go back to this hotel. There was no shower gel. There was no shampoo. The shower floor was tile and very slippery. Our stay was two days and yet I never received the shower gel. I was given a canister of shampoo, but could not attach it to the wall in the shower. There was no soap dish in the shower, so I had to rest the shampoo and the soap on the floor. I went downstairs to the lobby for coffee and the urn was empty. Very disappointed."

"The hotel, room, and staff were all good. The best part of this hotel was how calm and quiet our room was. We weren't the only people at the hotel, but perhaps we were the only ones on the third floor. I'm not sure, but either way I appreciated the peace and quiet. Now onto the bad part. This hotel must have previously been a smokers hotel, because the entire building reeks of tobacco smoke. You get used to it after a day or so, but if you can't acclimate to the smell then you seriously need to...

"Love the Brown County Inn, have visited many times. Very clean rooms & great hotel & restaurant staff. Pool was overwhelmed with so many kids & lots of chlorine smell, would be nice to have adult only pool times, especially on holiday weekends when many adults are staying without children. Was difficult to get in pool to swim, with all the kids constantly monopolizing the pool & crazy with the cannonballs jumping & toys. Should be able to share better for everyone to enjoy. Maybe next time."

"I like that the bed was comfortable and it was close to everything. The staff was pleasant when checking in and out. The outside was rough, looks like possibly remodeling, a toilet was outside in front of a room. The inside was outdated, painted chipped off the walls not outlets, the one we could use sparked when you plugged something into it. The TV kept freezing up during the program. "We chose the property for the beach and pool access as we were there for a week. Unfortunately the beach access was washed away and was not available; the pool was also smaller than it appeared on the website and very small and packed. We knew the property was a 3-star, but the smell of marijuana was so overpowering around our room and the bed linens and room were pretty old. We chose to move to another hotel for the week."

"My suite was very spacious and well designed, but I especially loved the surroundings. The grounds are beautiful and make an excellent place for a short walk. It also feels sheltered from the rest of the world--town is close, but it seems like you are far away in a pleasant little town."
