"The breakfast was excellent, parking was good. The bed made a lot of noise getting in and out of it, the mattress was in rough condition. The air conditioning was very noisy. There was no bureau in the room to put your clothes in."

"1st room was musty, cobwebs, wallpaper peeling off. Bathroom- tiles on floor were coming up and wallpaper peeling off wall. Air conditioner broken in our room. Hotel was mad that they had to move us after offering us the housekeeper's fan to borrow. Couldnt even open the windows as the screen for the windows were down on the ground outside. "Smugglers Notch Inn is a charming place in northern Vermont. Just off of Route 15. Part of the property is 200 years old, the other part is more than 100 years old. Everything is beautifully appointed, the staff is very helpful, and there's a hot, made to order breakfast each morning. We would come here again."
