"The most uncomfortable bed ever. We had booked a double room but they gave us a twin room. We went back to reception and the staff member said the hotel was full and shrugged, and said we can push the beds together. We went back to the room and did this, and there was loads of litter under the bed. The mattresses on both beds were extremely uncomfortable. In the morning we spoke to the front desk, and they said they couldn't switch our rooms but they would provide extra duvet covers. We got back in the evening and they had not done this. We gave up, and slept on top of our duvets using only a sheet. The hotel is a short tram ride from the city centre. You can walk in about 35mins but it is down a main road and doesn't feel safe at night. The hotel is up a hill and you have climb up a lot of stairs from the main road. There was building work, so either you had to climb around the broken area or walk a 15min detour. Once you get to the hotel, there are more stairs to reach reception. The property is very dated in decor, with no plug sockets by the beds. We found the people in Bratislava very kind and friendly, but some of the staff at this hotel were rude to us."

"This was our favourite hotel out of the 2.5 weeks we spent in Central Europe. The decor is thoughtfully executed, everything is high quality such as furniture and bathroom fixtures. There are delicious freshly baked cookies outside the rooms everyday. The restaurants are very nice and serve great food. The location was perfect because it is away from the noise of the old city but still walking distance. Loved it!!!"

"Polite staff, clean room, courtesy bottle of water provided. Wasn't too keen that you could see the shower from the bedroom - ie no privacy for the person showering if you are sharing. Also the bath was peculiarly high so wasn't that easy to get out of (never usually have an issue). We initially didn't think the air-con was working but you have to close all the windows for it to kick in (which is absolutely fine!)"

"Good location, price, space, cleanliness. Amenities such as the SPA and gym service. Room service was great. The staff was very accommodating and let us know about the city tax we had to pay. Expedia also mentioned that when you pay for the hotel that the city or hotel local tax is due at check in. Overall a great experience and the hotel.is withing walking distance from a lot of Cafes, restaurants, shops, castles, public transportation. We had a great time and the room does have AC and plenty of big wi down you can open at night making those cool nights even better it is located in a very quiet street."
