"I was suprized when I checked in shortly before three P.M. to hear that you must ask for a ground level room when making your reservation. I specifically arrived early to secure our two rooms on the lower level. At least 95 % of the rooms were unoccupied at my check in time. For anyone needing a lower level room you shoud request this prior to arriving."

"The room was very nice, clean and looks recently remodeled. Having a comfortable bed would have been nice. Mattress very hard. Breakfast buffet would get a 1 star rating. Clean but very sparse in options. Staff was very friendly"

Also, I was initially unsure which room I would occupy. But everything got sorted out. The location is very, very close to the street, but the building, which apparently was constructed in 1810, was so well constructed that any noises from passing traffic could not be heard.
