It was good. What you would expect from a hostel. I did not see any plates or utensils available I was only there for one night so I just used my own but did not see anything written about getting it from the front desk but other people seemed to have utensils from the front desk. They also have signs that they will kick you out if you do not wash your dishes immediately so there was not a pile up of dishes - but the dishes seemed like they were half washed. Nothing new for hostels.
The price or rooms was very reasonable!
It was convenient to be able to park our car for a reasonable rate of $10 per day under cover!
Very convenient to the RPA Hospital and shopping area and plenty of places to eat!
The communal kitchen was not very clean in the morning for breakfast, sinks had pasta & cereal tipped out into them instead of into the bin which was mainly a problem caused by some tenants!
The bathroom had mould around the sink and shower had clumps of hair in drain!
We were in room 1 and it was very noisy with people coming and going through the front door which slammed shut each time!
Mostly minor problems that could be rectified quite easily!
It is a very pretty place to stay. The en-suite was very comfortable and the balcony was so nice. It was a safe place to stay and the staff was very welcoming.
This is by far the worst place I've ever stayed at, even including all the hostels, some of which only cost 1/10 of the price of this one. The whole room smells horrible and the bed is so uncomfortable that I thought I was in jail. The customer service is also bad - just during my check in process, she's quarreled with two other guests. If I knew this is what the place is like, I wouldn't stay here even if they pay me to!

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was ok, but smelled like a locker room even though they cleaned it that day and the only source of air was a fan that would only point in one direction of the room. It was very hot and hard to sleep. The patio door did not lock and the outer patio doors would not shut all the way, so I was glad there were lockers since the room was not secured. The free breakfast was kind of hard to do since it ended at 10 but they did not bring anything out until 9 and consisted of white bread and spreads and cornflakes with milk so pretty basic, but hey, free. The showers were nice- hot water, good water pressure and nice shower heads. The location is good, not far from city centre. I was underwhelmed but it served its purpose for the price. A fair choice if you literally just need a place to sleep, store your stuff and shower.
Easy to find. Close to transit but not too far from central station. Staff pleasant. Room clean and quiet. Slept well despite soft mattress. Short walk to catch train to opera house and harbour. Shops and restaurants nearby
Were it not for the frowning elderly lady in the six-share female room, I would have felt differently about the stay. The bed was clean and cushiony, and the ensuite bathroom felt like a real bathroom rather than a hostel bathroom. Tons of restaurants all around. Maybe I'll stay there again and hope there'd be friendlier company.
