"The experience here was truly something else! Never stayed in a place like this. Our room was basic (traditional Japanese) and our meal was delicious served in the room. The amenities were excellent including baths and a lounge that included snacks and drinks upstairs. The location was incredibly close to everything on Miyajima and it felt special to be here once all of the tourists had left for the day. "

"部屋と夕食は良かった。朝食は、もう少しバラエティあると満足。 朝・夜のガイドツアーがあるのも良いと思います。シャンプーリンスの質をもう少しあげて頂けたら満足。ラウンジのドリンクにアルコールあれば、最高。夕食時に注文したハイボールも薄くなくて大満足。部屋着が浴衣以外の人がいてそっちが良かったので、私達には案内なく残念。"

"Villa direkt gegenüber des Fähranlegers, sehr schöne Zimmer, unglaublich toller Massagesessel. Sehr schönes Onsen. Welcome Ecke mit Eis, kleinen Kuchen, Getränken, heiß und kalt, ganz hervorragend! Auch wenn die Unterkunft hochpreisig ist, ist sie doch ihr Geld wert. Sehr empfehlenswert!"

"The staff was terrific; very kind and attentive. The view of the Tori gate was incredible from our room. Food was wonderful and there was a lot of it! More that anything, Miyajima is just a wonderful place! If we can manage it we will go back! Also, they have no issue with tattoos in the onset, which is a plus for me!"

"Hotel was easily walkable from the ferry with a little hill at the very end. Very nice room and super nice staff. The Ryokan had more of a corporate feel but still nice. If I were to plan my trip to Japan all over I wouldn't spend the night on Miyajima and would instead just make the island a long day trip. This was my most expensive hotel of my two week trip and while nice, clean, and a good traditional breakfast I don't think it was worth the money."

"It’s definitely dated and very old school Japanese style but it’s incredibly charming and the location is beautiful. The kaiseki dinner was incredible. Staying for one night was perfect. My back couldn’t take more. "

"The property is very nice, clean and modern. The living room is a comfortable place to relax. Please be aware that this is a 3 bedroom property and the other rooms will be occupied by other guests. The kitchen, living room, toilets, and bathroom are all shared with the other guests. The house is lovely but has very thin walls and doors and you can hear all the other guests, even when they are trying to be very quiet. If the other guests leave early in the morning you will very likely be woken...

"Terrible place. Very dirty, black mold in bathroom and some sleeping room. Very bad service: i didn't get the code for the door and no reception even though I was there at 7pm (supposed to be open until 8pm). I tried to send messages, call but not much help to get, poor english and they didn't seem to care that I was locked outside. Finally I got help from someone passing by in the street who got the door code for me. I'll rather stay at the hotel from The Shinning than staying in this dump...

"The room was not clean- I had found a pair of boxers under the bed The beds looked like they had been slept in by someone else. There was hair in the beds and the sheets were not clean. There was no one there to let us in- the door was unlocked and it wasn't until a long wait period I knocked on a door and someone came to show us our room. He was nice, but other than that, the experience was awful. The kitchen/shared space was quite disgusting. The bathrooms had bugs in the sink There was no...
