"This Marriott is close to the airport and has a free shuttle, which is its main strength. We stayed here because our flight was cancelled and had to fly the next day. The property was originally a little more upscale but it's showing its age. There are a lot of details like chipped paint at the baseboards and furniture, stains on the fabric wallpaper from rust, grime buildup in the corners, broken buttons on lamps, older towels, HVAC wasn't working great, etc.
However, the bed was nice, TV was decent, and the room layout was good. We had everything we needed in the room, including decent coffee and a coffee maker.
We ate breakfast at the hotel (which was extra $), but it is your standard Marriott fare, which is always good quality and better than most breakfasts at hotels.
Be aware that this hotel isn't exactly convenient to the touristy area in Manhattan or in a nice area, FYI. To go to Manhattan, we got a ride share to a subway terminal in Queens (Jackson Heights) and then rode the subway into Manhattan, which took about 40 minutes and cost about $35 each way."
