"This was our first time staying here and unfortunately it will also be our last. My wife and I were only in town for one night because the place we usually stay had no availability that weekend.
To start with the positives, the location for our purposes was ideal. It’s close to the mall and near Raymond James Stadium, which made getting around very convenient.
Unfortunately the room had several issues. The AC barely worked and the room stayed hot most of the stay, especially before sundown. The bigger problem though was the sewer smell. Both the hallway and the room had a very strong sewer odor that made it hard to stay inside. We actually went to the mall and bought concentrated room spray from Bath & Body Works just to make the room bearable.
Parking is also a nightmare. The spaces are extremely tight and if you leave in the evening, forget trying to find a spot after about 8 pm.
There was also no coffee maker in the room, which was surprising for a Hilton property.
The bed and bedding were comfortable, but even service was disappointing. We asked housekeeping for an extra towel for an early morning shower and were told they could not assist."
