Holiday Inn Resort The Squire at Grand Canyon by IHG
6/10 Okay
"Nice property, first left when you come into town. About 5-10 min drive to the Grand Canyon fee/ visitor center. Had a couple of questionable interactions with staff. Asked for housekeeping both days were there, mostly for the made bed and fresh towels. But did not receive this service the first night had to ask the front desk. On the second day they only emptied one of the (VERY) small garbages. I understand they want to incentivize not getting room service due to the water restrictions but it should be discussed at check in not over text. The pools were nice and I loved the night movies and s’mores. "
"My lower rate is base on Hot Tub area - strong smell pee. My kids needs to close their noses. Later you use to smell it.
FD staff nice and friendly. Absolutely horrible, unprofessional two older Latino men in restaurant next to FD area. Unpleasant welcome. Sits us after check documentation about service dog. Table was sticky, I asked to clean it and older guy throw wet rag at me to clean it myself. First I didn’t get it, I cleaned table and my mind been loading- is it dream or disrespect and unacceptable treatment is a logo for this place . I still been sitting like frozen. Later exactly with the same action he brought a menu on a table. It was last drop for us with 2 kids. We just left. I never ever been treated like that in any place I have been for all my life. They both looked so confident as baron, owners of Grand Canyon as whole. Looked i entered to their house with no permission. If they act like that that means they know, nothing happens even if someone will complain. I am honest I felt more insecure than upset. If that place keep people like that - that means they support that culture. Absolutely horrible, disgusting behavior.
If management is not aware ( which I have doubt) they have to be out of that place at all. I see them more as workers in prison. "
"Overall, good experience. Definitely dated decor, but overall, well maintained for usage this place gets. Overall, the room was clean but did find toys and debris under the bed from previous visitors. Breakfast was free and good overall. Not much if you were looking for warm breakfast. No eggs or meats."
