"You cannot beat the view from this hotel of mount etna, the coast and Taormina from above - it was outstanding. You saw this from the restaurant, the infinity pool and also our room. It does mean you are above the town which requires a walk down a fair number of steps into town (and back up) or use of the free hourly hotel shuttle, but the walk is also beautiful and was very doable in October’s mild weather. "Beautiful hotel - my 5th visit to Taormina and I have always stayed in different hotels. Hotel Villa Carlotta is my new favourite! Really welcoming staff both in reception and at the restaurant. Apartment was gorgeous and had everything we needed. Had a fantastic meal at the restaurant - what an absolutely stunning (and very romantic!) setting! Will definitely be back to visit again - hopefully for longer next time. Many thanks!! Christine & Jacques"
