Egmont National Park is nestled on the slopes of Mount Taranaki, which is a dormant volcano on the western side of New Zealand's North Island. Even though Taranaki region is easily accessible, most tourists ignore it as it is on a path less traveled. It is a shame as Egmont National Park has beautiful scenery, lush temperate rainforest vegetation and this gorgeous waterfall known as the Dawson Falls! The hike to the waterfall is short but with some steep steps, and the view point above is even more easily reached. If you're traveling in the North Island, Egmont National Park is well worth a visit!

Excellent from the start. Warm, welcoming, and extremely personable front desk. The room couldn’t be faulted,and the ambience in the guest areas was thoughtful and superb. The pool area was also excellent. I won’t hesitate to book it in future
