Lovely stay in the Rainforest motel. Andy is a great host who made us feel very welcome. We sadly, were only there for one night, as we were passing through on our way to Queenstown, however if we are lucky enough to return to NZ we would definitely stay here for a few nights.
The property is comfortable, clean and the unit we had was updated and had a great new bathroom / wet room. The whole motel complex has such a relaxed feel about it and we have no doubt recommending it as a great place to...

Fantastic building with all mod cons and comfort. Complimentary bottle of good qualty pinot noir upon arrival. Great views. Fully equipped kitchen and great bathroom. Comfortable lounge area and very comfy bed.
If I were being picky, it would be great if the roller blinds were electrically operated throughout and there was a clothes dryer to go with the washing machine. Spiral stairs to the mezzanine would help, and I think a new front door is probably overdue. Great stay though - a place I...

Excellent hotel although the restaurant was closed which we weren’t expecting. The staff suggested a great place for food just a step away. So all good.
Very good breakfast foo included in the room rate

A convenient motel with all the facilities we needed for self-catering in the centre of Fox Glacier and an easy drive to all the major tourist attractions. We were only there one night but would have been happy to use as a base for a longer stay.

We stayed at Punga Grove for 2 nights. The room was very comfortable with good self catering facilities and a nice outlook onto a small secluded patio shaded by plants. Unfortunately however our enjoyment was curtailed when the tail end of Cyclone Fehi hit Franz Josef on our first night, resulting in loss of power and cellphone signal to the whole village. The power remained off for the rest of our stay. The hotel staff were excellent in making sure that we were ok, providing a camping stove for...

Maori greeting cool drink and luggage wisked away to our room, valet parking and a oasis of clam. Loved the food ambience and relaxed staff so helpful and genuine.
We had massages in the spa very professional and impressive
Only down a few fly bites no complaints at all, would defiantly stay again and recommend

We stayed at the aspen court motel during a whistle stop tour of the west coast. I wish we had had time to stay here for longer. This motel was by far the best we have stayed in. Extremely clean, very comfortable and had a luxurious feel to it. Ours was very quiet and we instantly felt relaxed.
