This Boutique Hotel is ideally located. Right on the river with a constant breeze. The Ferry to the beach is right across the road. Lots of restaurants near. The staff were exceptional! We highly recommend this lovely Hotel.

Romantic stay in Alvor (not long enough)

This is a great location on the riverfront. The ferry to get to Tavira Island (beach) is literally right outside and easy walk to restaurants. Located at the quieter end of the downtown core.
Front of property. Great restaurant downstairs. Hotel guests receive a discount on meals there
Front of hotel on promenade (ferry launch on right…20 steps away).

Lovely friendly hotel. Very good breakfast. Room a bit small but adequate. Loved the hot shower and big towels. Perfect position for catching ferry to Tavira Island . Tavira is great for bird lovers. Was able to view flamingos from the balcony and roof terrace - awesome ! Would recommend 👌

Stayed one night with my husband. Had the perfect view of the beautiful town of Tavira from our second floor, riverfront balcony. Also had a wonderful view of the sunrise over the river from here before walking out to the salt pans to see the flamingos. Many great restaurants and attractions very close. Walked everywhere easily. Room amenities were as advertised and very good. Parking was available a short distance from the property but we were able to unload and load luggage at the door. Breakfast was very good with all of the usual items available. Front desk staff were excellent and very friendly.

Excellent support from the Reception staff that went above and beyond by helping carry one of my heavy suitcases up the stairs - which I appreciated. - Thank You. 🙏 It is older buildings, so no elevators, with multiple landings to get to the room. The room was extremely small and the window faced the back of another building, the bathroom and shower was the smallest I have ever come across. The shower door kept coming off its roller on the track, and the water alternated from scalding hot to cold. Parking is not available on site, and one could only park 3 blocks away, which is a problem with transporting multiple heavy rollaway luggage across cobbled stone streets.

A Very Pleasant Surprise!

I stayed at the Mares pending the Final Deed (referred to in the US a real estate closing). The river view is enchanting and the location is unbeatable in this uber walkable city. And although I stayed there during the low season season, breakfast was included in the rate.
