I found the Carter Inn very pleasant and welcoming. I stayed two nights and I will stay again if the need arises. The room was clean, bed comfy and the decor fit the surroundings of Ten Sleep. The breakfast was yummy and home cooked, so no powdered eggs! The bread was fresh baked, along with fresh caramel cinnamon rolls and pear and yogurt options. The parking was adequate for the number of rooms that they have. Also, they offer home baked cookies at check in and they were so good. I purchased more for the trip home.

The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at a hotel. Homemade breakfast and delicious, homemade cookies on arrival. The owners were very welcoming! Great place to stay.

Lovely stay in a nice small town

The Inn was lovely and nicely decorated. Everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful and fun to sit with others who were staying at the Inn. Candle in the reception area was strong. I have sensitivity to strong perfume smells.

I've stayed at the Carter inn twice. Both times I've had great interactions with the couple that own/operate the place. The homemade breakfast that they serve is amazing!

Great location. Home made breakfast. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. More like a B & B than a hotel/ motel. Will be our place to stay in Ten Sleep.

The place is absolutely spotless and beautiful. They have restored this motel to a very homey place to stay. The couple lives on site and they have vegetables and fresh herbs growing. The breakfast is homemade. Homemade scones, jelly, bread. This morning, we had delicious scrambled eggs And delicious ham. Restaurants are very walkable for small as this town is we really enjoyed our stay

What an amazing place!! The rooms are freshly remodeled with higher end finishes. This is not your average motel!! The owners are supper nice, and it almost had a bed and breakfast vibe. They made all the guests a homemade breakfast with homemade breads, jams, muffins, etc. They have a nice outdoor sitting area as well. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to stay.

The hotel is a great place to stay. Breakfast was also very good, home cooked. The owners had pleasant conversation with all the guests. The only consideration i would make is to sweep the cement slab so it is easier to park motorcycles. Highly recommend staying there!!!!

Loved this property!

This place is absolutely wonderful! Kenny & Christa were very friendly & super welcoming. Our family stayed there for a wedding at a nearby town and they treated us all very well. They have done a wonderful job tending to this charming property! The homemade breakfasts they made for all of us was outstanding. The eggs were super tasty but the homemade baked goods were the star of the meal. If we ever make it back to that area of WY this will be where we stay without a doubt.

The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bathroom had a modern renovation. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was cooked fresh on-site and tasted much better than breakfast at most larger chain hotels. Good central location. We would stay there again.

I love this hotel. A very friendly married couple owns this in Ten Sleep. We loved all of the little extras they provided. And the breakfast was amazing! I even bought a jar of Kristens home made jam!

LOVED this place!!

What a GEM!! Rooms were well kept with new bathrooms, place was quiet, home-cooked breakfast in the mornings with house made bread (sourdough), fresh scones or other goodie, fresh fruit bowl, jams, jellies...OH MY we ate too much but it was SO GOOD!! Kenny & Christa are AMAZING hosts & make you feel right at home! Tensleep is beautiful & when we go back we will DEFINITELY be staying there!!

The bed was very comfortable, room was super clean and welcoming. The home cooked breakfast was top-notch and visiting with the owners and other guests was lovely. I plan to return for sure, this place is a great find.
