"This hotel is clean and cozy and perfectly situated to visit old town in Melk, including the abbey. So fun to step out the door onto a charming street full of cafes and shops. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful and the free breakfast buffet is absolutely fantastic! I appreciate that the windows in the rooms open fully and also the fun little jars of candy at the checkout desk and restaurant for guests to sample. Tasty!"

"The hotel is right in the center of Old Town. The outdoor terrace was a nice touch. The rooms were clean, a bit on the smaller side. The hotel had a nice historic feel however the bathroom had mold in the grout lines and the basement had a musty smell. A very convenient place stay. Lots of cafe’s, and restaurants near by."

Closet space was practically nonexistent, and the bed seemed specifically designed for people who miss sleeping on a park bench. Housekeeping appears to operate on a "find yourself" basis, so don't expect much in the way of room service or regular cleaning. The breakfast deserves special recognition—not for quality, but...
