"Needed a night away"

"Friendly staff, and comfortable stay. Menu and restaurants a bit challenging to navigate as they did not align with in room on screen menus offered. Pool was busy and filled with kids so maybe not a good fit if trying to avoid that atmosphere. 15-20% gratuity added to everything and $40/day resort fee which basically covered WiFi and pool towel. Everything else was an additional charge. "

"Room smelled weird and was very dirty. Very outdated. Tried our best to “settle in” but things just felt off. It was late and we found a cockroach in the bathroom and knowing that; where there is one…there are more, we called the front desk immediately and they moved us very quickly to the highest floor and the room was a little bit cleaner, but still not great. This was our only option due to what time it was so we went to manager first thing in the next morning to request a full refund. We did have some back and forth since we booked through Expedia, but the manager at the resort, quickly approved the request, but was very unapologetic over the matter and just wanted us to be on our way. Expedia was quick and to refund after the manager approved. "
