"I can't fault my 3-night stay at the Halvard as a solo traveller on business. My room was well maintained, spacious and comfortable with a decent heating/aircon system that allowed me to have the temperature I like. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful throughout my stay. The food was superb with the included breakfast being excellent. "Das Frühstück war sehr gut. In unserem Bad ließ sich leider die Heizung nicht abstellen, deshalb mussten wir oft das Fenster öffnen und uns hat im Zimmer ein kleiner Tisch mit 2 Stühlen gefehlt. Wir haben uns einen zweiten Stuhl bei der Rezeption bestellt und auch bekommen. Wir waren mit dem Hotel und Service zufrieden und werden wiederkommen."

"Bedrooms excellent bathrooms really lovely and very clean… no need to take towels as lovely clean white towels provided. The Sefton Hotel really is a Great place and directly on the seafront close to the ship terminal… the Gaiety Theatre next door which is another amazing place to visit. The Bar prices were quite good too. The bar itself is very small and staff look like they are running ragged trying to serve everyone lovely friendly staff too. The Breakfasts are so GOOD… a lot to choose from...

"Used accessible entrance on arrival via the breakfast room… poor signage, lights out and smelled of bleach.. not very welcoming. Stairs up to main entrance impossible with suitcases. Reception bright & welcoming when we found it. Room clean, but needs a refurb. WC flush took 10 mins to re-fill!! Three big windows with view of the beach. Spacious with ample storage. Breakfast average but friendly staff. Restaurant evening meal.. fabulous food but expensive. Coffee in lounge served in a pot & same...
