"The Valley lodge is Excellent in respect of amenities, safety, restaurants, the staff at the restaurants and lodge are helpful. The food at the restaurant was excellent as well. "The house has beautiful views and the linens were clean. That is where the positive points end. The house has a strong odor of mold that immediately caused my allergies to flare up. I suspect there was water damage as they had moisture eaters around the house and there was area where you can see evidence of former water intrusions. There was also a strong odor of sewage emitting from the bathrooms that may be attributed to septic system issues. As a result the house did not feel or smell...

"The property is in a great location with a ton of good facilities on site. Communication prior to arrival was poor and we struggled to access. The property is in dire need of maintenance. Light fitting hanging off wall, mould on roof in bathrooms from steam, water marks on roof from what we can only assume is leaking showers in the floors above. Bath plugs leak, wasting water. Double bed in the one room is hard as a plank and really uncomfortable. Pillows need replacing and door handles in...

"A great place to stay with lots of space and thoughtful touches. A lovely welcome from Joanna when we arrived. There is a very good restaurant that often has musicians playing nearby, the Courtyard. Great to have secure parking. The place does need a little TLC but all very doable. Also the smell of the jasmine in the garden was beautiful "
