"I liked that it was a very quaint, pretty little cottage in a very good location - within walking distance of the town centre but not too close for it to be noisy. The passing traffic in the morning can be quite noisy at times but nothing terrible at all. The lady who owns the property has obviously put a lot of thought into little extras and items you might find useful when staying away from home, which were greatly appreciated. The wash basin was inconveniently small and we were unable to get hot water out of the tap ; we ran it for a long time but it remained stubbornly cold! "Overall very happy with our stay, the staff are great, very happy and polite. Everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was ample and well cooked we were catered for very well. My only issue would be the room was a bit small and the bed a bit hard but we didn’t let it spoil our stay at all."

"We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended."
