"The hotel itself is wonderful. Such a creative re-use of an old building, and the decoration is outstanding. So quirky and interesting, almost like wandering around a quality vintage market come bookstore.
The staff were also incredibly helpful as well.
We'd originally booked a double room, but were upgraded to a suite. I'm not sure if this was an upgrade we wanted unfortunately. The suites are at the front of the hotel, facing on to the busy road. The windows really need secondary glazing to reduce the noise, plus the curtains need to be wider and better lined. The combination of traffic noise and light meant we didn't get a great night sleep.
That aside though, the suite was lovely and spacious, well appointed and the bathroom was great - better than most hotels. Even the minibar was sensibly priced.
If you are sensitive to noise then think carefully, otherwise I'd have no compunction but to book this hotel and it's wonderful.
The area is also interesting to wander, not far from the Thames Path, buses right outside, DLR just a short walk away."
