"Positano is not for the weak of walking, if you can't or have large issues with walking this is not the place for you unless you have a Sherpa. That being said, Villa Yiara is fantastic, this was an anniversary trip for us so yes, we splurged and paid for the suite. The staff is so helpful. They have a list of restaurants to try and one of them even has a driver that will pick you up and return you to your hotel at no charge,, but tip the driver please. Our suite was fantastic and in the morning...

"This is a cute little hotel, our room had a wonderful view overlooking the sea. The staff was amazing, especially Cecilia! She was very attentive and gave us great advice about restaurants and the best way to tour the city. We rented a Vespa to get around and also took the bus. Walking is okay but keep in mind there are MANY stairs back up to the hotel. The beach was about 15 minutes down stairs, down the mountain. "

"I stayed here for 3 nights with my boyfriend. I have never loved a hotel more! The accommodations were perfect for 2 but plenty of room for more guest. The views are incredible, and it was about a 12 minute walk to the beach. Chiara was very helpful and attentive if we needed anything at all! We would recommend this to anyone staying in positano whether it’s for a long or short stay!! "

"We had a wonderful stay at Casa Gabriella. The villa is beautiful, clean, and looks exactly like the photos. The highlight was the outdoor bath with stunning sea views. Location is perfect—just 5 min walk down the steps to the beach and shops, and only a minute uphill to more restaurants. Diana is a fantastic host, very friendly and always ready to help—she even arranged taxis and shared local info. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Positano. "
