Very nice and clean room. Someone however accidentally walked into our room but front desk immediately took action to rectify issue. Parking lot is limited and tight ended up parking on adjacent property with limited lighting
I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the property was. Yes, it is old and dated, but I thought it was an excellent value. Breakfast buffet was nice and staffs were friendly. I will definitely stay here again.
Our room was clean and the staff were very helpful! The hotel is only a few miles from Montclair University.

Check-in was quick, friendly, and professional upon arrival. The hotel was clean. On the second day, I experienced an air quality issue in my room. I contacted the front desk, and they promptly assigned me a different room. The staff was very attentive to the problem. I would stay here again.
Room was nice and neat, staff was courteous and helpful, all amenities included with the room were working perfectly, but the fridge that was not keeping things cold inside . Brand name toiletries. Great breakfast, fresh and tasty. Room housekeeping were made daily.
Only things they need to polish is with the maintenance staff regarding a rusted metal cover where a 💡 is supposed to be working properly. It heavy rained... A LOT! and there were some filtrations spots at the breakfast area by the coffee machine.
I requested a roll away bed to be paid as an extra; the agent at front desk was getting me an answer (approval) from the management and here I am; still waiting.
Overall, me and my family were comfy and well attended. I definitely will be coming back.
I recently stayed at the Garner Hotel in New Jersey, and unfortunately, my first impression was disappointing. When I arrived in my room and went into the bathroom, there was a dirty rag hanging in the bathroom. When I was ready to take a shower, there were no bath towels available—only a hand towel.
I went to the front desk to report the issue. The staff was very helpful and polite, and I appreciated their willingness to assist me. Unfortunately, they did not have another room available to move me to.
I understand that things can sometimes be overlooked, but cleanliness and having the proper towels should be basic expectations when checking into a hotel. I hope management addresses these issues so future guests have a better experience.

I was apprehensive to stay here after reading some previous reviews, but it really wasn’t a bad stay. Can’t say it was an amazing stay, but definitely was better than I expected.
Our room was clean and the staff were friendly. I do agree with everyone that talked about the noise, definitely no exaggerations there — this hotel is situated right next to a highway that is busy no matter the time of day, which made it difficult to sleep. We had to keep the TV on all night to help drown out the noise of cars driving by. There was a bridge right outside our window that had a metal connecting plate on it that made a loud banging noise each and every time a car drove over it, which was about every 3-5 seconds. I really think that it would be great if this hotel invested in white noise machines to put in every room since the windows definitely aren’t soundproofed.
The outside of the hotel also could use a little help. I’m not sure if it’s the hotel’s responsibility to maintain the mulch & shrubbery area that lines the perimeter of their parking lot, but someone really needs to address it. Lots of trash, nip & beer bottles — it was the only area for our dog to go to the bathroom and it wasn’t a pleasant experience. Ultimately it’s unfortunate that people even litter in the first place.
I’d probably stay here again if I needed to, but I’d be sure to bring ear plugs with me next time.
