Avon Inn

10/10 Excellent

"We were excited to visit the Avon Inn and it exceeded our expectations. It is a delightful hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Our room was big, with a comfortable bed and in room gas fireplace. The co-owner Jen was lovely to speak to and the history of the hotel is fascinating. Special shoutout to the awesome pool table in the lobby - it is an awesome statement piece and a great use of the space to socialize being right next to the restaurant. We did not get to try the restaurant but the menu looked great. Nearby walking was also very nice because the surrounding homes are beautiful and historic themselves. We will definitely be back."

"We stayed for 2 nights to visit the theme park that’s about 20 mins away. The front desk staff were all super friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and smelled clean as soon as you walked in the doors or anywhere there was carpet. The ‘continental breakfast’ was a grab and go with a side of boil in the bag eggs and make your own waffles; so not terrible, but would've liked more of a selection (considering the price per night). The room was clean and the only thing that would've made it better was better cleaning of the floors, in the room. There was a decent amount of ’crud’ starting to build up around the edges, there was still food scraps on the floor by the bed, and hair in the shower. Other than that, we would stay again when we visit the area."
