"Stayed here recently and unfortunately had a frustrating experience regarding parking.
The hotel advertises parking as “subject to availability”, which I took to mean that if a space was available on arrival, it could be used. I also contacted the hotel prior to my stay and, based on the wording used, understood this to be first come, first served. I made a point of arriving early to secure a space and specifically chose this hotel because parking was listed at £25 per night.
However, after parking, I was later contacted and told I needed to move my car as the spaces were effectively pre-allocated. This was not made clear at any point beforehand and created unnecessary stress during my stay.
To add to the confusion, my room overlooked the car park and at no point did it appear to be full. There was also an overspill car park on the opposite side of the road which remained empty, so the situation was difficult to understand.
Although I complied and moved the vehicle, the issue could have easily been avoided with clearer communication. I also raised this with staff but did not receive a meaningful response or resolution, which was disappointing.
Overall, the lack of clarity around parking and the poor follow-up from staff left a negative impression."
