"Perhaps one of my top 3 hotel stays. The room (11th floor, overlooking the waterfront) was large, very well maintained, with an increadible view. Staff was wonderful. Not a breakfast eater, but the breakfast bar looked lovely. Hotel was undergoing a major refit, with constructtion on the 11th floor, but only during the day, and not at all intrusive. Very reasonably priced (unlike the other Norway hotels we stayed in). If you're going to Tromso, this is the place to stay!"

"The location was good. It is an older property, or looks as though it is. But the price is good for a basic hotel in a good location. I am Vegan as ordered by my doctor because I cannot take statins. There was very little for me at breakfast except salad items. I would have loved some cereal. There were no bathroom amenities except shower soap. We had already been in Scandinavia for over three weeks when we stayed there, so anything that I had brought from home was gone by then. But, the staff were very courteous, the price is readonable and overall, it is a good value."

"The cabin was charming and immaculate (although too hot). The fully equipped shared kitchen is very large, with multiple appliances for guests to cook simultaneously, and large fridge and freezer for guests to leave their food. Enjoy the sauna at the end of your day!"
