"I love this place I stay here once a year going to my mother's and then once again coming back from my mother's and they are always so friendly and so helpful. I travel with my cat so that's not always such an easy thing. But they make everything so nice and so easy. I wish I could give them more stars than five."
"Night staff member was super nice and helpful. Coffee machine was delicious. Our room was very clean and spacious and designed beautifully. Hotel is next to a quick oil change place that we used since we were traveling and a diner, whose menu looked amazing, but was closed the day we were there sadly. "
"The Lodge offers simple rooms with comfortable beds and an awesome view of Abbott Lake and nearby mountains. Staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant was quite good and super convenient. Don’t miss the walk around the lake, which is paved and accessible. It’s a great pre- or post-dinner stroll and we enjoyed it. Excellent stop while taking in the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway! Highly recommend!"
"It’s a typical Super 8 hotel…nothing fancy, just a decent place to spend a night. The property is clean and well-maintained. We were in town for one night to visit the National D-Day Memorial, and this Super 8 is close and convenient to it. The staff was very helpful and friendly, especially with recommendations on nearby dining options. The property is across the highway from a gas station/convenience store and a fast-food restaurant. We would stay there again."
"We were very pleased with how nice and clean everything was. Even the hallways smelled fresh and clean. We could not hear people in the units beside or above us which made for restful nights. The units were nicely furnished with a complete kitchen and shower tub. Being pet friendly, we were able to bring our cats who really enjoyed the big windows. The location is convenient to downtown Roanoke which allowed us to enjoy the local restaurants and even a brewery, A Few Old Goats, is attached...
"No matter what room you are assigned, you can pull right up to your door, even on the second floor! They have designed a driveway to go up to the second level, so no stairs. As a person with a disability, I REALLY appreciated this! Everything was wonderful, except the bed; the mattress was way too soft and my back was a wreck the next morning. Otherwise, great stay!"
