"The location was beautiful, perched on top of a mountain overlooking the lake. The only drawback was that nothing was within walking distance, so glad we had a car, but the experience made it well worth it. The staff were professional and polite, and the breakfast buffet was decent, with plenty of options for both a traditional Japanese breakfast and an American-style breakfast.
Although the hotel was older and had a slightly musty smell, with a mild mildew smell in the bathroom, we loved our stay! The onsen was my first experience with one, and it did not disappoint—it was the highlight of the hotel for me!
There was an outdoor warm pool, an indoor hot pool, two indoor cold pools, a steam room, and a traditional sauna. There were plenty of showers, along with a generous selection of complimentary skincare and hair products. It was a dream and felt so luxurious."
