Late check in was very easy with their check-in terminals. Room is small but functional, clean and comfy. For our dog they prepared a dog bed, two bowls, dog food and a roll of poop bags. :) We loved it!

Property was great! Excellent storage for secure bike storage. Rooms are somewhat small and not climate controlled. Having the window open was noisy with late night party goers.

It was very clean but it didn’t have an air conditioner or a small fridge to keep food from expiring but I like it. The other thing was the lack of language they need people to speak perfect English to help people with dierections .

Great hotel
The hotel was very comfortable and modern. Mostly self-service, which I have no problems with. Location is very convenient for central Tuttlingen.

Pro: - self check in/out - recreation room (billiards, table football, board games, etc) - original interiors Contra: - small rooms with weird arrangement (the sink is 1 meter away from the bed, not in the bathroom) - sub-par, cold only breakfast

Location was good. We were within walking distance of restaurants, the bridges and shopping. Staff was very helpful in the checkin process as it is a self-check-in. Did not care for dropping our room cards in an open box where everyone has access to them.

Small but clean room in a quiet area
Small but clean room with very limited amenities. The pillow is extremely hard, reducing the level of comfort and sleep quality. This also applies to the other property located at a walkable distance (Legere). Looks like the pillow purchasing process is similar. If you cannot rest properly, then it will be difficult to give a positive answer. The hotel has no parking so you need to use the one located at 30 meters and carry your luggage using the boardwalk. The hotel has a “self-service” policy. You need to do the check in on a machine located at the entrance of the hotel. There are also a couple of vending machines in the area where the breakfast is served. Coffee prices are around 2,5 to 3 euros. A little bit expensive considering the self service approach. It is located in a quiet and safe area: restaurants, cinemas and a walkable path near the river.

Novices at Hotel Management
The positive, the hotel room and bathroom were very clean. The negatives: first, the room is incredibly small for two people. Think microtel type of size. Don't plan on spending a lot of time in the room or expect any ammenities. Second, particularly for those who think the subtitle of the hotel "bed and breakfast" conjures thoughts of matronly hostesses providing a hearty breakfast - literally this hotel will provide a bed and you will pay for breakfast. Breakfast was nothing special. You are better off wandering a block or two down the main street to go to a bakery and sample some of the local food and local characters. Now about the hotel management style - staff feel free to help themselves to breakfast while you are paying for it. As well, the common areas are places for staff to have conversations over the noise of vacuum cleaners even though there are guests in the common areas reading or working on computers. Back office staff feel the common areas for hotel guests are great places to have HR discussions with staff members. Check-in is awkward - someone was upset I was trying to check in after 3 p.m. when he was loading the vending machine. In the evening, the hotel staff person on duty was on a personal call with her feet up in the lounge looking out the window. AVOID even numbered rooms as they look out onto an alleyway which is very loud early in the a.m. We'll be revisiting the area again for business/family, but I certainly won't be staying at this hotel.

Nice for a night or two
We had a very pleasant stay at Charly's. It's a modern hotel, very new. Rooms are quite small, but nicely designed and we felt very welcome. Would not stay here for more than 2 nights because of the room. The shower is very nice. The only downside was a slight smell in the bathroom at the beginning when we came and after not using the bathroom for a while, maybe some air circulation issue? In summary, a really nice place to stay. Recommend!

Negativ: Beim Handtuchwechsel gab es für 2 Personen nur noch ein Handtuch. Parken im Parkhaus nur gegen Gebühr. Schild zum Raushängen für Roomservice nicht vorhanden. Keine Gardine, nur zur Verdunkelung.
