Everyone was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They were quick to respond to any requests and made us feel well taken care of the entire time. Airport shuttle: The airport transfer process was convenient and well-organized, which made arrival and departure stress-free. It’s definitely a big plus, especially after a long flight. Family-friendly: The property felt very welcoming for families. The atmosphere was safe, relaxed, and accommodating, making it a great option for those traveling with children. What we liked: The overall experience was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The service and cleanliness really made a difference. What could be improved: While the stay was great overall, a few small touches or upgrades could make the experience even better (for example, minor facility updates or additional amenities). Overall, a great place to stay with excellent service and a comfortable environment. We would gladly return."

"Beautiful property, but the stairs to get there are no joke. Don’t bring a crazy amount of luggage, you’ll be huffing and puffing even without it. However, the view makes it worth it. The staff at this property are amazing. I needed a room change because my room was super hot and the AC wasn’t working, and without any hassle they changed my room and gave me a beautiful one."

"My go to hotel when I fly in and out of Bali. Minutes to the airport and they also offer free pickup and drop off. Highly recommend. "

"Firstly, upon arrival, there were no staff present to complete our check-in. We were left waiting to be addressed for 10 mins. In addition, we noticed a sign stating that there would be construction between 9am-5pm; it stated that the construction had no relation to Makara Villas. We came to find, it was in fact, the villa across from ours in the complex. This was unbeknownst to us as there was no mention of construction prior to making our booking. Next, we were guided to our Villa by Putra. Firstly, a staff member was laying on the lounge, on his phone. The cleaning was inadequate incl staining on the bed, bed base & sheets. To our disgust, there appeared to be blood stains on the headboard in addition to dirty footprints, loose hair & stains on the couch. A foul odour throughout the property due to an incredible amount of dead bugs and mould falling from the airconditioning unit onto the floor. This does not meet health and safety standards. As a result, we felt no other choice than to check-out & source alternative accomodation. Once home, We contacted Expedia attempting to rectify the matter, we had requested a full refund. Unfortunately, however, both Makara Villas and Putra the Manager, have failed to respond to any form of communication to resolve the issue. Putra claimed to have offered us an alternative room, this simply did not occur as no other villas were avail at the time. Overall, our time at Makara Villa was a waste of travel & money. Do not recommend staying."

"The staff were intrusive and didn’t respect privacy, asking too many unnecessary questions about personal belongings. The room was not clean, which made the stay uncomfortable. On top of that, the facilities felt outdated and poorly maintained. Overall, not a pleasant experience."
