"We did like the layout of our room in that had separate seating/TV area, a wetbar, sink & desk. The bathing facilitiies & 'make-up areas were also separate, which made access convenient."

"I almost never take time to give a bad review, but in this case, I think it’s fair for potential customers to know information. Firstly, I’d like to point out, there was a very nice young woman who did try to help. Other than that, we were disappointed in our stay and will not be going back. The room smelled of smoke. The mattress was covered in cheap plastic, so the thin sheets slid off easily. The bed covering was very very thin. The air conditioner worked, but was loud and covered in dust. The cleanliness overall was subpar. The bathroom was pretty bad as well. Yellowed shower curtain, dirty looking tub, and no toiletries provided other than toilet paper. I went to the front desk and was given 2 extremely small bars of soap and 2 1 use packets of shampoo, but ended up going out and buying my own at the dollar store. They continental breakfast was minimal and the area just didn’t seem clean, fingerprints and smudges were obvious on the stainless steel surfaces. We decided to forgo it. OVERALL, it was a place to stay and parking was convenient, but unfortunately a good cleaning and a little attention to customer satisfaction would have made a huge improvement. There was a phone at the front desk, customers had to call for assistance, which gave the impression that there was no one there to help."

"Nothing like getting the first floor handicapped room, when you’ve booked in advance by more than a month, and requested an upper floor room in a quiet area. When we got the there, they nicely inform you that they are now charging an extra $6 if you booked via a 3rd party. We go to the room and there was hair and crumbs between the sheets on one bed. We asked for another room and were told the hotel was sold out for the evening and they couldn’t move our room. Despite being their right at the beginning of check-in they couldn’t swap us to a similar room that WAS clean, and clean this one in the meantime for another guest arriving later. Hot water for tea from the carafe in the kitchen was brown. I hope this is due to coffee stains from not being cleaned properly… And I’ve never seen a hotel restrict you to the dining area for certain food items. Not like there was much selection. Everything just seemed below par, and the fixes should’ve been unnecessary because they are expectations really, at the lowest level. And don’t even get me started on the noise from the adjacent room. The lack of soundproofing between the doors adjoining the rooms was disgraceful. I had to run the loud bathroom fan all night for some white noise to block them out. I will not be coming back, and this may have spoiled the Best Western experience for me for the entire chain. It will be hard to get me into another one. Even my son was dissatisfied with everything and frustrated."

"Customer service was great and went above and beyond. Breakfast is great. Convenient location to store and hospital. Came in for spine surgery at Lutheran and booked this hotel for the pool (just wanted to relax in it and swim before major surgery) and it was closed, which made me tremendously sad. They said it was only for the day because they had to add chemicals, but it was closed the next day and my husband couldn’t use it. Other than that it was fantastic and will be using every time I go to Fort Wayne."
