"Wow… just wow. What an amazing and pleasantly surprising stay. Such a charming and welcoming place. Our family of four spent unfortunately only one night here during our vacation in the fascinating Dordogne, but absolutely love it.
This isn’t one of those polished corporate hotels, this was a small piece of France!
The host was very welcoming and pleasant. She spoke excellent English and made sure we never had to stumble with our very limited French.
We had the top-floor room with an open attic and exposed wooden beams. We found a very clean and neat room, smelling nice, with vintage beautiful furniture (not dated), and with good quality towels and bed linens, showing the host care of the guests.
The bathroom was open, very nice and cozy, with white and green beautiful tile. The only small hiccup was that my sons and I are tall and the roof was low, so we had to shower sitting in the tub — but honestly, it added to the charm!!! We visited at the end of July when it was hot, so we were very happy the room had AC.
The next morning, I skipped breakfast, so I can’t really say anything about it.
I don’t want to repeat myself about how pleasant our stay was, so if you visit Belvès or that part of the Dordogne, go and discover this hotel for yourself, you won't regret it.
