Lovely property centrally located in the town square with many shop and restaurants near by. The roof top pool and deck were great for a 360 sunset view over the town. Included breakfast was well done with many options. The staff are exceptionally accommodating and friendly. Thank you a nice stay.

Lovely hotel in the plaza with good size room. Breakfast was lovely downstairs and also tables outside. A little challenging to find the location as it is in the plaza so taxi drivers will drop you outside the plaza. The sign is small on the hotel. Very friendly staff.

Amazing we will be back

This was a beautiful hotel and we had a lovely experience staying here, from receptionist, to restaurant staff excellent. The breakfast really lovely and we had dinner on first night, lovely food. What a beautiful hotel! Impeccably renovated from a former palace. The rooms are the perfect combination of modern and historic. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. They also provide one the best breakfast buffets that I have experienced. The location is right off the main plaza with many small shops and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait to stay here again!

Lovely breakfast in a Pousada at the main square

We enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was lovely. It is in the main square of the city and many restaurants and shops nearby. The two swimming pools were only opened 10-19 even if they said that they could keep them open longer, we were however not so interested in the swimming pools, quite small and too hot in the sun.

Wonderful hotel and lovely staff

Wonderful 3 night stay in this really lovely wee hotel. From the moment we walked through the door the staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We had a superior room with large balcony and sunbeds. Bed was super comfy and shower was great. Breakfast had a good selection of cold and hot buffet items. Hotel is also in a lovely location right on the main square and has a plunge pool on roof top with lovely views. Can highly recommend and will definitely book if back in Vila Real DSA.

A perfect stay.

The location was perfect - right on the square. Parking is free, but less than a five minute walk due to the hotel being in a historic area with no street parking. From the minute we walked in we were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff who couldn’t do more to make our stay enjoyable. The room was beautiful and comfortable with many small touches that made our stay absolutely wonderful. I only wish we would have booked two nights instead of one!

Really loved this place. Beautifully situated and great room. Tasty and diverse breakfast. The staff were all lovely and spoke wonderful English. Marianna stood out as being really helpful and flexible regarding a small issue about which room we had booked. She could not have been more professional, friendly and helpful! Thanks so much! Great location, no traffic,plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops. Hotel provides free WiFi and pool towels. Water provided. Air conditioning. Room very clean.Some friendly staff, others need to smile more. Coffee machine at breakfast great! Margherita pizzas were good! Negatives- on check in, not told about ferry to Spain, land train to beach, WiFi password,breakfast, events that were happening in the square- very poor communication. Room was a classic but very basic, ‘mini bar’was a campervan fridge, not offered upgrade or given wine in room as per booking on arrival. Mattress was firm. Mould in shower. Pools didn’t look or smell clean. Property looking tired in places, needing new flooring, carpet, plants dead on rooftop, rooftop plunge pool in red, table broken on rooftop bar, Breakfast ..minimum offerings. Ok stay for a couple of nights stay.

There is no better location that the Pousada. It is right in the main square, a close walk to all restaurants, and the pools and breakfast made our stay excellent. The staff was helpful and very nice. I will stay here again on my next visit to this area.
