"This is by far the best property I've ever booked through Expedia. The house sits on the edge of a beautiful working farm, across an ancient Roman bridge. A lovely ten-minute walk into town, you cross another bridge that offers a spectacular view the river. The owners live nearby and are the most hospitable and generous hosts imaginable, sharing fresh produce from their farm and knowledge of the area."

This is the nicest European hotel we have ever stayed in. The building is fabulous, really nicely converted with lots of thoughtful design choices. The rooms are lovely, beds super comfy, nice big fluffy towels. We particularly enjoyed Vintage restaurant just a 2 minute walk. The owner is a real charmer. The staff at Avenida are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful palace and it was truly great value for money.
