Nice hotel, very comfortable.

Second time I have stayed here. Very welcoming, rooms are great, clean and comfortable. The open fire in the hall is great and the beer is very reasonable. Nice breakfast too. Limited places in the town to eat in the evening, depending on the night you stay.

Unique atmosphere. However visitors to Jagschloss Walkenried need to know that there is no meal service other than breakfast. There are two restaurants within easy walking distance. The distance to Nordhausen is deceptive , although only 19 km the road is windy and sometimes narrow. Friendly staff.

Wir haben als Familie im Jagdschloss Walkenried Urlaub gemacht. Wir waren begeistert von unserem großen und geräumigen Zimmer sowie den sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Besonders gemütlich fanden wir die beiden tollen Kaminöfen in der Empfangshalle, die jeden Abend für eine tolle Atmosphäre sorgten. Es war genug Holz zum nachlegen vorhanden, so dass man sich dort auch gerne länger aufgehalten hat. Das Frühstücksbuffet ließ keine unserer Wünsche offen, es war alles vorhanden und schön angerichtet. Es sind ausreichend PKW Stellplätze auf dem Grundstück vorhanden. Die Zufahrt ist durch ein automatisches Tor gesichert. Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und können das Jagdschloss Walkenried uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Alles super, aber Gast wird übergangen

Soweit alles super. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und die Einweisung sehr gut. Es hätte alles gepasst, aber man wird als Gast nicht zur Kenntnis genommen. Es ist das Recht, dass die Besitzer die Location vermieten darf. Aber wenn man dadurch als Gast eingeschränkt wird, sollte man mit dem Gast kommunizieren und das wurde nicht getan. Es war an einen wunderschönen Tag eine Hochzeit im gesamten Außenbereich. Somit war wir gezwungen uns außerhalb dem Hotel zu beschäftigen, obwohl wir das Hotel wegen der Entspannung und Ruhe gebucht haben. Es ist ein Unding, hier mit dem Gast nicht im Vorfeld die Situation zu besprechen. Wir erfuhren erst von dem Event, wie Leute mit dem Aufbau beschäftigt waren. Es wurde auch nichts gesagt und als das Hochzeitspaar kam, sind wir aus Respekt gegenüber dem Paar gegangen. Das Essen in der Ortschaft Walkenried ist nicht von guter Qualität. Aber im Garten ist eine super Grill. Wir haben am ersten Abend beim örtlichen Metzger sehr gutes Grillgut besorgt. War ein top Abend. Am nächsten Tag das selbe Procedere, leider war die Gasflaschen leer. Auf Nachfragen erhielt ich die Antwort, dass keine vorhanden sei". Eine Lösung Fehlanzeige. Fazit: Schade für die verlorene Erholung und es waren nur Dinge, die mit der richtigen Kommunikation vermieden werden können.

absolute Empfehlung für Walkenried und Umgebung

Sehr freundliche Aufnahme im Haus, zuvorkommend und höflich! Ausreichend Parkplätze vorhanden. Super saubere Zimmer in einer nicht gewöhnlichen Umgebung - ein unbedingtes Muss ist ein kurzer Rundgang durch das Haus. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit persönlicher Note

A quiet and noble place!

Ein sehr schönes Ambiente mit nettem Empfang und Stil! Sauberkeit und Komfort tadellos, Frühstück gut und abwechslungsreich. Das herrschaftliche Gebäude und der generös gestaltete Gartenbereich entbehren einer gewissen Noblesse nicht - ich danke der Hausherrin für alle Umsicht und Mühe! Die Abendessen-Gestaltung (nur ausser Haus) erfordert etwas Glück, Walkenried ist klein und das Angebot begrenzt. Das schmälert aber in keinster Weise die Freude am Jagdschloss - Chapeau!

Vi havde et dejligt ophold. Hyggeligt hotel, hvis du vil opleve andet en blot et hotel. Hotellet er et gammelt jagtslot med al den charme det giver. Værtinden på hotellet er meget gæstfri, og laver en meget lækker morgenmad til dig. Lækker scrambled eggs og lækker hjemmelavet frugtsalat. Vi kommer gerne igen en anden gang.
