"The hotel itself is great and the staff are wonderful. But I do not recommend this hotel if you want to walk anywhere. There are a lot of homeless and they will follow you and hover around you and it feels very unsafe. If you plan to stay here I’d recommend ubering or driving to your destination."

"This is a very cool, boutique hotel with lots of character. The staff were amazing, the breakfast that was included was good. The only downside was the restaurant food, it was cold and not too tasty - dinner only, breakfast downstairs was ok. Overall a great experience at this lovely hotel - would recommend! ***The downtown Seattle area has changed so much, a lot of junkies in the area at all hours - not specific to this hotel. Downtown Seattle is quite filthy.***"

"This is a hotel that is 115 years old, and sometimes it reminds you of that, even though it’s one of the most charming corners in Seattle. My room was clean, and special outlets had been installed for modern electronics, but it was rather an ergonomic disaster. The floors were uneven. It had insufficient light. There was a bulky floor AC unit with a hose to the window. The bathroom was cramped, and the TP holder was positioned so you could be sure the roll wound up on the floor. A notice from...

"The king room was larger than expected and very well-furnished! Felt like an apartment. I didn’t love the pillows (too much air), but the bed was cozy and clean. Ample closet, living room area with couch and TV, plus fridge, nice shower. Staff was hardly around, but they are very responsive by phone and helpful when you do see them. The building was secure and the neighborhood is cool with lots of places to shop and eat. Location is excellent for the price. They do warn you, but the music on the...
