From beginning to end there was just one thing after another… I arrived at 11pm (admittedly not prime check-in time). One guy to check in guests. The person before me must have just booked via a booking service so the Front desk was just staring at their computer refreshing waiting for the booking to come through. I was the second person in line and waited 45 minutes. The front desk guy never even looked up or explained what was going on as if he didn’t even realize I was there for 45 minutes waiting to check in. I tried to check in through the Hilton app and it said it was trying to activate the phone/app based card key. It said it would take minutes, but it never came through the app. There was no apology when I got to the check-in desk. I then went to the room and saw it was one king bed but I ordered two queen beds because I was traveling with my adult son. I had very clearly requested and paid more for two queen beds so we would not have to share a bed. They had no other rooms so I offered me complementary breakfast. The buffet breakfast was average… Typical of a hotel… Nothing bad nothing great. On our second morning there was some work being done on the roof right above our room so there was loud drilling & hammering sounds…. Non-stop for hours starting at 830am. We were not warned of this. I couldn’t work in the room because of the incredibly loud noise so I could not make any phone calls. There was no apology or acknowledgment or warning of this work being done.
