"The property is for weddings and not for individual travelers like us. Lacks proper breakfast room and other amenities. Also landscaping really poor."

"My stay at the hotel was pleasant overall. My only complaint is the lack of maintenance in the common restrooms. The pool bathroom was broken and out of service during my stay, and several other bathrooms were missing paper towels. Improving the maintenance and upkeep of these facilities would greatly enhance the guest experience. Danny"

"The hotel was cute, very basic. I was looking forward to a great nights sleep, the pillows and mattress was horrible. And why wouldn’t you have a shower mat on the floor. Should I use one of the 2 towels given for the 2 people in the room? Just seemed like a basic thing but was annoying. And at a $400 a night hotel you could get a comfortable bed and a shower mat?"

"The rooms in this hotel need to be refurbished...very dated accomodations with old carpet in guest rooms and very old bedspreads on the beds. Being the only hotel in Oyster Bay, it has a captive audience. I realize it would be a major upgrade expence but it is time. The staff was friendly and helpful."

"For the most part the room seemed ok. But the deodorizer used and overused inside the mini fridge made us ill. This chemical permeated our food and water containers and we were sick for a full day afterwards. (Our waterbottles, not disposable types, still reek 2 days later after scrubbing thrm with alcohol. We will need to know what that chemical was due to the sensitivity we experienced. Overuse of scented chemicals does not confer cleanliness. Parking was fine and ac unit worked very...

"Our stay at the Stamford La Quinta was very interesting. I think the hotel has a lot of potential and a decent location but unfortunately the hotel is maintained somewhat poorly. Broken elevators, cracks in sinks, minor cleanliness issues, broken and/or outdated furniture/appliances. But overall, still a clean room and hallways. I have mixed feelings about our stay because while you can tell they do try to clean.... I just don't understand why such simple things are being left broken/unfixed....

"The front desk staff Kritina on the evening shift was amazing. The property was clean but dated. We had four people, a king with a sofa bed and the sofa bed was essentially springs covered in cloth, no one should be asked to sleep on that regardless of the price of the hotel room. The hotel needs to get all new sofa mattresses. The front desk staff very kindly upgraded us to be able to all sleep in beds."
