"Our room was upstairs on the 2nd floor. My mom is 90 there was no elevator for her. That was brutal. There was something being built near parking area which looked unfinished. We had a balcony view which looked onto the parking area. There’s a hospital across the street and during the night we heard very loud helicopter noise overhead. I had requested no dairy for breakfast and my omelette had cheese in it. My sisters room was on the first floor which was next to the breakfast/eating area. She...

"Directions to the hotel and access to the hotel were absolutely atrocious. Once we were there and checked in the experience was wonderful"

"The staff were great. The room was large and spacious. The bathroom was also large with a great shower. The back of the hotel was unkept and because of that there were a few bugs in our room. It was a good value for a quick stay just 2 nights. Free wifi and a large TV."

"The historic Inn is beautifully maintained and updated and provides a unique experience of staying in a home dating back to the 1600's. Breakfast was delicious and Megan the cook was welcoming and helpful. We always stay at the Black Walnut Inn when in Amherst!"

"Beautiful property and very helpful staff. One drawback is there is only one elevator for 5 story building and it is very slow and used by cleaning staff during checkout time. We used the stairs most of the time."
