The hotel is very dated and requires a major upgrade. $500 a night for a place that is in rough shape is disappointing.

The Westin Resort & Spa, Whistler
The room is well designed. Full kitchen is very useful. But it isn't a 4star. Many things in the room/amenities not working (doors, phone, ice machine) it is missing on the details. Staff are lovely though.
