We absolutely loved our stay at this little motor lodge! Where do I begin? The room and bathroom was immaculate and super cozy. We loved that we could unpack our vehicle right at the door. We also loved the fire pit and the ice house for fresh ice and water. We will DEFINITELY stay here again when visiting the area.

With a daughter attending William & Mary, we have a lot of opportunity to travel to Williamsburg, so for our last visit we decided to stay at the Rochambeau, having heard very good things about this retro-styled motel. We were glad that we did! The property is immaculate, in fact I don't remember every including the phrase "immaculate parking lot" in a review. Ever. But that's the case here. From the driveway to the parking lot to the grounds, everything was, well, "immaculate." That certainly bode well for the room, and indeed the room didn't disappoint. We are fans of the old "motel" style rooms and seek them out whenever we go on road trips. We have never stayed in a motel room as well-restored and well-maintained as we did at the Rochambeau. Everything was perfect. Um, there's that word again, "immaculate." Oh, and I shouldn't forget the amenities. In the back, away from the road, there's a circle of chairs around a fire pit. There are several barbecue grills and of course there's cornhole. There's also a small building at the back perfect for holding events, so if you decide to do the family reunion thing, or the W&M graduation party thing, you have a perfect space to do it at the Rochambeau. Remember, this is a motel. So if you need spa treatments, 24/7 elegant cuisine room service or a bathroom the size of a small cottage, this won't be your vibe. But if you can appreciate the charm of an immaculate (there's that word again!) recreation of a 1950's motel, stay here!

Charming and tastefully decorated, immaculate. Room spacious enough. Desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Continental breakfast was basic but nice (great coffee, toast, bananas, pop tarts). Only two relatively minor issues. Water pressure in our room wasn’t great, and the window unit that provided heat was very noisy. Would definitely stay again!

As a single traveler, this Roadside in was perfect. I’m not one that like to haul all my stuff thru the Lobby and in Hallways on a trolly for everyone to see. I enjoy the convenience of parking the car in front of my room. The convenience of unloading and loading is great and stress relieving. This small motel with its upgraded features made this trip easy and enjoyable. There was nothing to complain about for it meet all my needs. I will be a return customer. Williamsburg is a place with many roadside motels; and I wish they would all upgrade to the Rochambeau standard. A great place for the single traveler.

Such a cute and charming place! While it doesn’t offer a lot in the way of amenities, it had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower was fantastic! We really enjoyed our stay!

It’s essentially an updated motel - but it’s really nice! The room was VERY nice, really all I could ask for. Quiet, very nice location, very nice food options close by. Enjoyed our stay thoroughly. Great value!

I have stayed at a half dozen places in Williamsburg and this is by far my favorite. The customer service is prompt and helpful the property is updated and lovely. It was comfy and a very cozy beautiful room. The only thing I wished for was access to coffee in the morning.

We had a nice stay. This property has been nicely renovated and is tucked away from the Colonial Williamsburg, but still close. Contact with the staff was done via text. They responded quickly to any questions. Big plus, they have electric car chargers, one for Tesla and one other.
